Kingfisher Bay Resort feature a five-person strong team of Eco Rangers, with their friendly faces spotted around the resort, running a series of daily nature-based walks, informative talks and guided activities. This team of island ambassadors have an immense passion and knowledge for the destination, with backgrounds in Animal Ecology, Marine Science, Australian Indigenous studies and more. Together, they enhance each travellers’ experience on the wild and wonderful paradise, that is K’gari.
Friendly resort rangers are on hand to share a yarn, a joke and plenty of information during the daily Walks and Talks program. Kingfisher Bay’s nature-based activity program has been carefully crafted around the natural and cultural features of Fraser Island to ensure maximum enjoyment.
What better way to immerse yourself in the island than by talking some time to smell the wild flowers. Kingfisher Bay has a number of self-guided walks and hikes in and around the resort including the 90-kilometre Fraser Island Great Walk that runs from Dilli Village to Happy Valley. Or head out and discover Fraser' amazing history with a hike to the Z-Force camp.
Breath-taking beauty, fresh air and the great outdoors – just stepping out of our conference rooms is the best way to experience the real Fraser Island. The calm waters of the western bay are a haven for canoeing, marine cruises and Segway tours. Other resort-based activity options include archery and our popular Bush Tucker Talk and Taste.
We can also arrange 4WD hire with our partner, Aussie Trax, if you’re experiences with driving on sand and would like to explore the island.
